How important is air?

We are only a breath away from death. We can survive without food and water for days but how long can we survive without air. Only a few minutes. But how much do we care about the quality of air we breathe? The truth is, we don't care at all. We only want our luxurious lifestyles with scant regard to what even our children breathe. Do you know that car and truck exhaust affects the development of lungs in children. Children and the elderly are the most vulnerable and develop all kinds of respiratory ailments. God gave man a beautiful and pollution free planet 'Earth'. But look what man has done to it over the centuries. It is high time we wake up and do something to prevent air pollution for not only our survival but also of our future generation.
